Peer-review and editorial process
Submissions undergo initial editorial screening for scope, quality, and research integrity (including similarity checks). Eligible manuscripts proceed to double-blind peer review by at least two expert referees. Editors may invite cross-review among referees to improve coherence of feedback. Our target timelines are competitive with leading journals; decisions prioritize methodological rigor, contribution to knowledge, and clarity for practice and policy. Where appropriate, the journal supports preregistration and encourages open review at the author’s option.
Open access policy and licensing
Advances in Digital Business and Analytics Journal provides immediate and permanent open access to all content. By default, authors publish under CC BY 4.0, enabling sharing and adaptation with attribution. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and archive the work.
Fees and waivers
APC is USD 100, payable only upon acceptance. There are no submission or fast-track fees. Waivers or reductions may be considered for authors without funding, especially from low- and lower-middle-income economies or for public-interest special issues; requests should be made at submission with justification.
Research integrity and ethics
Advances in Digital Business and Analytics Journal adheres to COPE guidelines. Authors must disclose ethics approvals for studies involving humans, data protection compliance where applicable, conflicts of interest, funding sources, and the role of any generative-AI or automated tools used in the research or writing. We encourage Data and Code Availability Statements; where feasible, authors should deposit replication materials in trusted repositories (e.g., institutional repositories, OSF, Zenodo) and include persistent identifiers in the manuscript.
Copyright notice and self-archiving
Authors hold copyright and may self-archive preprints and accepted manuscripts in institutional or subject repositories, personal sites, or funder portals, provided the published version is cited and a link to the article on the journal website is included. Third-party material must be properly licensed and acknowledged.
Indexing, identifiers, and discoverability
Each published item receives a DOI and rich metadata to enhance discoverability. The journal exposes OAI-PMH endpoints and uses standard scholarly taxonomies (e.g., keywords, JEL/ACM classifications where suitable). The editorial team is pursuing inclusion in major indexing services (e.g., DOAJ, Scopus) as eligibility criteria are met.
Digital preservation
The journal ensures long-term accessibility through participation in distributed archiving systems (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS) and the PKP Preservation Network, as available to our platform and partners. Backups and redundancy policies are maintained by the publisher.
Sponsorship and ownership
Advances in Digital Business and Analytics Journal is owned and published by the Association of Digital Business Innovation and Research. The journal maintains editorial independence.
